Our Philippines guests were coming to HOM for cooking class with Dang, leader of Nang Lerng community. They requested to learn four recipes which are Rice mixed with Shrimp paste (Khao Kluk Kapi), Thai Chicken Coconut Soup (Tom Kha Kai), Pork Satay (Moo Satay) and Mango Sticky Rice (Khao Neao Mamuang).
Our guests learnt how to make pork satay not only how to marinate the pork but also delicious peanut sauce that they couldn’t resist to take it back home with them. The way we grilled the pork also traditional style with charcoal grill that is how we make how pork smell good. While we grill we need to brush the pork with coconut milk to make the meat soft (our brush is unique as we made it from pandan leaves).
Everyone comes to Thailand they love about mango sticky rice as our sticky rice mixed with coconut milk. It smells good and the taste is delicious. When you eat with Thai mango which is not too sweet and a bit sour taste. It made the perfect combination. After steaming the sticky rice and prepare the coconut sauce to put on it, we were sharing the mango sticky rice among our staffs and everyone love it.
